Happy New Year - and some subscription news
How our new model aims to help our stories get seen by as many people as possible
Happy New Year!
As we move into 2024, we wanted to let everyone know about a few changes we have made to the way this Substack page will be run, and what our paid for and free subscriptions offer.
From now on, none of our content will fall behind a paywall. We are keen to get the stories of the amazing runners we feature to as many people as possible - and removing any barriers that could prevent this seems a sensible way to proceed.
As a result, paid (£5 per month/£50 for the year) and free subscriptions will now work under the following model:
All of our subscribers will:
Never miss a post - all posts will be sent directly to your inbox
Have the ability to comment on posts and interact with us and other subscribers
Our paid subscribers will also:
Get a warm, fuzzy feeling from knowing they’re helping us tell these stories!
Be eligible for discounts on all Running Tales merchandise
Be able to request topics for future coverage
Alternatively, you can support us by donating to our Buy Me A Coffee page for as little as £1.

Existing paid subscribers:
We are aware that current paid subscribers will have signed up under our previous subscription model, which potentially offered them access to additional content.
As such, particularly for those who signed up annually, you may now feel you are not getting the benefits you expected.
We hope that our offer of a discount on Running Tales merchandise and to influence our content - message craig@runningtales.co.uk for details, as well as being able to support what we do and allow us to continue both this newsletter and the podcast, serve to satisfy you in terms of the payment you have made.
However, if you are on a long-term subscription and feel you would like a refund covering the remainder of your subscription as a result of these changes, or have any questions, please message craig@runningtales.co.uk
Thank you to all our subscribers for your continued interest in Running Tales. We’ll have more extraordinary stories and running news for you soon.
